This Belgian style Quadruple was aged in freshly dumped Port barrels for one year and finished by adding pomegranates to the barrel for the last two months. The tartness of the pomegranate blends with the acidity from the lactobacillus. After a few sips, the strong malt backbone shines through with notes of prunes, caramel, cinnamon and chocolate.
Serving Temperature: 45-50 degrees Fahrenheit

Food Pairing: Grilled lamb and yogurt mint sauce with an arugula, spinach salad topped with feta. Or if you want to keep it simple, get a to-go gyro and tzaziki and call it good (splurge on the beer, not the food…except for State and Lemp, holy shit!)
