“Beer that came from Barbarians should be made by Barbarians.”
The barbarians of Europe were thought to be crude, wild and uncivilized. Coincidently, these barbarians made many of the beer styles that we enjoy today, including oak barrel aged beers with a little bit of sour and funk (how else were they going to keep beer from going bad back then!) At Barbarian Brewing we are incorporating the old world style that barbarians used to employ to make beer and adding a new world flavor through aging beers in wine, whiskey, and bourbon barrels and adding regional fruits.
