It took a bunch of barbarians to invent beer
While the rest of the ancient world was sipping wine, the Valhalla-loving brewers at the edge of the known world were delving deep into the hinterlands of taste — funky, sour, and savagely good. Barbarian Brewing honors the traditions of these wild creatures by handcrafting small-batch beers that go beyond the pale of mass-market brews. Beer may be mainstream. But don’t get too civilized.
Rebel against The routine
Thor decided he was lead supervisor today. One eye on @james_the_barbarian pulling weeds and another on the brewery crew. 10/10 good boy all around.
Thor is the Barbarian owners’ (James and Bre) 13 year old Alaskan Malamute. He’s a very small 118lbs. His working hours are 8-3pm on the days he decides to come to work, so you’ll never see him when the taproom is open.

Hazy IPA with Mosaic, Motueka and Nelson hops and Tropics Booster. Tropics Booster is a plant‑based extract developed by Berkeley Yeast to enhance tropical fruit flavors in beer made with their TROPICS™ yeast strains. It’s designed to amplify notes of guava, passionfruit, and grapefruit, giving beers a more intense, “tropical fruit nirvana” profile. This is a new Mo’ Hops recipe because we can’t get Moutere hops anymore.
